Here’s a layout I made using Happy Scatter flairs and a stencil, and the Lollipop Box Club April Kit for other bits and pieces. I based the page on the May Sketch Challenge at Stick It Down:
This photo was taken on a walk with my kiddos. We stopped for a selfie and when I looked at my phone to see if it came out good I couldn’t stop laughing at my daughter’s face in the picture! She says the sun went in her eyes, but it just looks so dramatic! She looks like she’s belting out a rock song or something.
Here’s the sketch at the Stick It Down Challenge Blog which I based the layout on:
I began the layout by using a sponge dauber to apply paint through the Happy Scatter ‘Hearts & Flowers’ 8×10″ Stencil (the bit in the middle is not painted on purpose, as I knew my photo was going there:
I used lots of items from the Lollipop Box Club April Kit, including washi tape, string, paper, glittery stickers, leaves, a little bunny button, and some phrases on paper rectangles.
I placed lots of phrases down the left hand side of the page, to mimic the repeated ‘hello’ words on the sketch.
I also added a Happy Scatter flair button from the ‘Emoji Faces’ set, as the face looks very similar to my daughter’s expression…
I had so much fun making this layout! It’s been a loooong time since I scrapbooked, but NSD (National Scrapbooking Day) this last weekend got my mojo going again. I made another layout at the weekend too which I’ll share another day!
